Maximizing Conversions via Quality Web Design
There are so many elements that contribute to securing a successful online business. Quality content, timely services, topnotch products, strong internet marketing skills and an increase in traffic all play important roles in the accomplishments of a website. However you should never underestimate the value of web design. By maintaining an excellent website you increase the odds of nabbing conversions as well.
Of course all websites have their fair share of problems. No matter how hard you may try, it is a given that your site will experience flaws and imperfections during its run. As long as you address those defects in a timely manner however the general public is willing to forgive your website for its problems. It is in your best interest then that you scope out your own website on a regular basis, searching for whatever mistakes that may be plaguing its operating capabilities. Once you seek out these errors, be sure you fix these dilemmas as quickly as possible.
Landing Pages are spots on your website where visitors are brought to following a search engine request. It is of the utmost importance that landing pages are designed towards securing visitors. Utilize popular yet accurate SEO keywords when developing the page in an effort to draw as much traffic as possible to your site. More importantly however, landing pages should contain well-written and persuasive calls to action. By including such credible and influential copy, you increase the odds of securing a conversion right off the bat. It is also imperative that these landing pages include persuasive segue ways to other parts of your website, leading visitors to other possible conversions, such as message boards, comment boxes or online shopping forms.
Try to do away with required logins during the initial web design phase. Visitors tend to be turned off by websites that ask for excessive personal information. If registration is absolutely necessary when dealing with your site, then make sure you ask for a limited amount of contact information. In other words, make the process as short and simple as possible. Although technically registrations are conversions, you may never secure them in the first place if they come across as tedious or require too much time.

Can someone give me web design advice?
I am new to web design. I created a website with the sole purpose of providing information. I used homestead.com for my template and it is a bit lack luster. My main problem is my landing page. I am having problems with people seeing my home page and then not progressing to my other pages. Would you please take a look and tell me what I can do to improve the image? Let me know if the content on the first page seems inviting or not…just give me an honest critique. Thank you so much.

I agree with the first poster, fix those roll overs. I am not too crazy about the background either. I like the fading on it and you should make it fixed, that way users won’t see it repeating. On your blog page, I would make them several pages instead of making me scroll down to read it all. First I need to scroll my own browser page, then I needed to scroll down on your web page. The background is completely missing on your wholesale page. And last but not least, sadly i found the ad on the side of your home page more interesting than the page itself. I like mexico as much as you, especially playa del carmen, but I wouldn’t put a picture of me standing in front of one of the temple on my home page. The picture of you is fine, just get rid of the temple….my honest opinion.
