How could I know I have successfully e-mailed a Yahoo Answers member?
I would like to know specifically the following:
(1) Why do I not see a confirmation message telling me whether or not I have successfully sent out the e-mail to a Yahoo Answers member; instead, after I hit the “SEND” button to send the mail, I always end up landing on a page showing an “OOPS! ” message which baffles a new member like me, even though it appears that I have not done anything wrong!
(2) Is the “SENT” box in my Yahoo Mail account suposed to stall the e-mails I send to members via Yahoo Answers — just like it does my ordinary e-mails?
(3) Where can I find more information in this regard?
Without the wording of the OOOPS! message, we can’t explain what the problem might be. Your email link is open, so it is not that issue. You SHOULD get to a page that says: Your message has been sent. Be sure you are not exceeding your limit of sent emails (at lower levels, you can only send a certain number of emails through Yahoo Answers per day). Be sure you are not exceeding the character limit in the email.
There are NO copies of emails sent through Yahoo Answers kept anywhere. We’ve asked for it, it has been promised, but after 4 years of waiting, I doubt it will ever happen. If you want to keep records of what you sent, you need to copy & paste it someplace and save it yourself.

If I hit the back button, it finds the page I was trying to get to. Oddly the first page I got, although apaprently a totally unrelated site, is usually related in its content. For instance I click on the link to a tourist office and instead I first get a page offering tours in the same region although nothing to do with the tourist office. What’s going on?

I’ve been told over and over again, through every possible media and by many different people that “The Money is in the List” and building My List caused me so much frustration and even despair when it just wasn’t happening that I almost gave the whole idea a miss.
Having done everything that was suggested with social media sites including face book, You tube & twitter nothing at all was happening, I didn’t have a list
Now, maybe I’m simply not very charismatic or people don’t like my style of writing or cannot connect with what I’m saying or more likely, I simply didn’t have the patience and wanted it happen NOW. I knew that my landing page was not the problem because it was very similar to other people’s who were much more successful than me.
When looking for a product or a service to sell through the minefield that Network Marketing has become one could too easily become totally caught with it all and believe that it’s just a case of finding a product, advertising it and becoming rich. I guess you wouldn’t be reading this if that was truly the case.
How many of the thousands of people who tell you that they’re “earning a six figure income” or “made a million in a fortnight” are actually telling the truth? I often wonder why, if they are multi millionaires like they say they are, they are trying to sell me a 12 buck load of crap.
I’ve gone off the subject here but I read the other day that 97% of wannabe Internet Marketers fail completely. That’s a huge percentage but the 3% who make it is still adds up to a lot of successful people.
Looking at that 3%: How may of these successful enterprises have become successful for free? I don’t know the answer to that but I think to ask the question is enough, I don’t need an answer.
What did the successful people do differently?
Was it simply luck? I guess it could be in a few cases but it’s certainly not the norm. It takes good business sense and a lot of help and team effort. Most importantly, it is the eagerness to succeed, the determination to learn and the willingness to invest a lot of hard work and money.
They must have generated traffic; traffic is a prerequisite to sales. Without traffic, all your efforts would just have gone to waste. In the internet world traffic is the customers. The more traffic you have the more people are available to sell your products to.
Obviously every potential customer, is not going to buy but if you have put the correct elements on your landing site, like a opt-in box for instance, you can still possibly add them to your list though it would, of course, be much better if they purchased on their first visit but how many do?
How then, do they get traffic, traffic large enough that would make a small percentage of that traffic into eventual buyers and make your profit?
They pay for it! Of course they do, that’s why there is so much paid advertising available? Because people will and do pay for advertising. You have to spend money to make money. Advertising is the key. The more people know your site exists; the more people are likely to visit it, that’s common sense.
Two old adages come to mind here: “You get what you pay for” and “You get NOTHING for free” Very apt I feel!
Search engines have to be the easiest and fastest medium to find what you need in the internet. If you want to find something where do you go? You will almost certainly go straight to the search engine of your choice and every one knows the main ones. This is where your potential customers go in the first instance; you need to be there to grab them.
Search engines provide information to the millions of users that they have each day. They provide links to many sites that a user may be looking for. If your sites link pop up in the high ranks of the search results page, you get a great chance that they will go to your site. While search engine optimization is a cheaper and low cost way to get your site a high rank, paying for advertisements will ensure that you will be on the top ranks.
