Now just fill in the blank with whatever you are going to educate your prospect about. This could be anything but we’ll go over a few quick examples.

Say you train dogs and are going to teach them how to teach their dog to roll over. Your headline would read:

Or maybe you teach people how to fish like a professional and you are going to teach them how to cast perfectly. Your headline would read:

How To Throw The Perfect Cast Each And Every Time, Quickly & Easily

As you can see this template is pretty universal. If you need a headline plug in your subject matter into the blank and you’re all set.

Remember that the headline is what is going to actually get the visitor to your website interested enough to read more and ultimately give you their contact information! So don’t mess this up because you’re message will never be read if you do.

2) The Benefit List.

The benefit list is the group of benefits that are right under the headline that list in detail exactly what is in it for the visitor when they give you their e-mail address.

Using this group of benefits, you’re going to get them so excited that the only logical thing left to do will be for them to enter their name and e-mail address.

We’ll go over a few template examples you can use and we’ll use our fishing example as the study piece. (The bolded, underlined part is the universal part that you can use with any subject and adapt to your situation.)

You’ll want to add your subject after the bolded, underlined portion of the examples above. You can of course think of more benefits, use less or use longer benefits. The sky is the limit, but I typically would go for as much as you can only think of.

Remember, this is your first chance after the headline to make such an irresistible offer that if your prospect leaves your site without signing up for your e-mail list, they will feel like they’ve lost something big. If you don’t make them feel the pain of missing out, chances are they won’t subscribe.

3) The Call To Action.

The call to action is the statement after the headline and the benefit statement that tells the prospect exactly what you want them to do.

If you don’t tell the potential subscriber what you want them to do, in many cases they will do nothing and leave your website.

Think about it. You’ve pulled them in with your headline, enticed them to leave their details to get the information you have. So now you need to tell them exactly what they need to do to get that information from you.

Here’s a great example call to action:

If you would like to grab a free copy of this must have information right away please enter your name and e-mail address right now. Don’t miss the opportunity to get this valuable information at zero cost to you, while it is still available.

4)Rules Of Formatting.

You want to make sure that your site is a centered table. This gives your site a good looking feel and lots of space on the left and right side.

This will also make your site much more appealing to the eye and draw people into actually reading the text more accurately.

When people come to a site that has no margins and see loads of text, they get intimidated and usually leave because they don’t want to read a whole bunch of text. That’s the nature of the human mind; People want their information fast and in an easily digestible format.

If it intimidates them even a bit, they are outta there.

Usually a one-cell table that’s 600 pixels wide, centered in the middle of the page works pretty well and is quite pleasing to the eye. I would recommend keeping the color of the centered one-cell table white and a royal blue type of color OR simple, plain white again for the background of the rest of the page.

You absolutely do not want to use any bright and florescent colors on your page(like yellow or green) because it will strain the eyes of your visitors and they’re gone in no-time. Try to stick with fairly neutral colors and colors that don’t take away from your sales message.

Now you have a simple, four step system to follow that will allow you to create Squeeze Pages as quickly as possible any time you choose.

Remember that the 4 steps above are things you need to do every time. Just skipping one of these steps can cost you upwards of 90% or more of your subscribers so it’s definitely in the best interest of you and your bank account to use them.

I often describe the landing page process as a funnel, with the tip or spout of the funnel being the conversion/sale. The conversion process starts from a source. (ex. PPC campaign, banner ad, print ad, etc.) From the source they move down the funnel to the landing page where your ad content is supported and re-emphasized. At this point the user has two choices, exit the page/funnel or convert and complete the funnel process. When optimizing your landing page to increase conversions and decrease your bounce rate remember these five simple rules.

1.Remember the 8 second rule – You have less than eight seconds to show the consumer exactly what they are looking for. This should be the building block of your Landing Page Strategy.

2.Clear call to action – Your landing page should sever two purposes, persuade and convert. Display your call to action as clear as possible and in an easily accessible position for the user. (Do not bury it at the bottom of the page or within a series of images)

3.Remove navigation – Removing navigation ensures the user stays focused on the purpose of the landing page, which ultimately is to convert. Again, less distractions and content overload will severely decrease your conversion rate.

4.Carry over promotional messaging – It is essential that your copy supports and strengthens your promotional copy. Keep copy to a resumable level to again reduce content overload. Copy that does not directly support the promotion should removed.

5.Keep your design simple – By reducing non-crucial design elements you are only increasing the amount of attention your call to action, promotional copy and necessary design elements receive. Examples of non-crucial design elements include: extra images/unnecessary distracting visuals, too much copy, flash elements that attract attention in the wrong place.

Imagine running a huge online marketing campaign for your site, complete with all the blog buzz, advertisements and search engine placements. You’re expecting tons of traffic to hit your site, you think the job’s done, well sadly, not quite. One very important factor many fail to spend time working on – Build superior landing pages. Definitely a very important tool when it comes down to any marketing campaign, if you ask me.

Landing Pages are basically the web page where the visitor reaches, after clicking on a link or promotional ad. Its a page where detailed information about a specific product or service that was mentioned in that link is displayed. At the end of the day, no amount of hardwork put into your marketing campaign will be worth much if there’s no conversion! So, create that superior landing page and you’re on your way to a very successful site.

Imagine this, your site now gets around 10,000 page views a month and you think, wow, that’s a lot of traffic. But remember, that does not promise success, because you could lose all that traffic in matter of weeks if you don’t have an equal balance of conversion ratio at your landing page. What do we mean by conversion – Once these visitors reach your landing page, naturally you need them to do something or rather, (like maybe, buy your product, subscribing to your weekly newsletter etc). Once the visitors carry out the desired action similar to this, you’ve then had, what we call, a conversion. And this ladies and gentlemen, is the sole purpose of having a good landing page. 3. Content is a vital part of a landing page. Know what to include in, and what not to.

4. Provide detailed information about the said product or service, something which is relevant and focused.

5. Avoid linking to other areas of your site, as you want them to convert on that one page, and not wandering off to other parts off your site whilst being entertained by your fancy colorful animations.

6. Keep in mind who your audience are, make sure the information you provide meets their requirements.

7. Make sure the look and feel of your landing page is consistent with your other marketing materials.

8. Include the keywords or phrases which were used in your advertisement, and add them into your page title and headline.

9. Keep the load times of your landing page under 5 seconds.

10. Routinely update your landing page. If you decide to change your campaign, change your landing page as well.

11. Make sure that none of the links in that page are broken or outdated for that matter.

How to Get a Lead Capture Page for Little or No Cost

Network marketers are always looking for a new way to get the word out about their business and to generate more leads.

In the world of network marketing it is essential to have a lead capture or “squeeze” page to help build your business.

For those who might not be familiar with what a lead capture page or “squeeze” page is, they accomplish two important things:

1) They allow you to offer a newsletter, a report, or some other information which your visitors can “opt in” to receive on a regular basis.

2) They allow you to “capture” some information about your visitor such as a name and email address which you can use to stay in touch with your visitors.

Many network marketers choose to use a corporate “replicated” lead capture page designed by the program their involved with which in my opinion is a big mistake.  Any Google search of the term “make more money” will demonstrate why I say this.  What you will see is the same “replicated” Lead Capture Pages over and over.  There is nothing unique about them and these network marketers all begin to look the same and get lost in the crowd.  Another problem with these “replicated” lead capture pages is that you cannot edit them or personalize them to fit your needs.

The solution to this problem is that you must create your own unique, creative, and eye-catching lead capture page.  As a minimum, your lead capture page should contain an attention-grabbing headline, it should tell the visitor something about you, maybe include a video, and finally, it should allow them to “opt in” to receive something of value from.

To get a lead capture page you can pay for webhosting, a domain name, and have someone design it for you but I would not recommend that option.  It’s too expensive.

For me personally, I like to do things as inexpensively as possible and I have found that there are some free webhosting sites where you can create an attractive, professional looking lead capture page without having to pay someone for your webhosting.  The website I like best for a free website is freewebs.com.  They have some very nice templates and great options to allow you to include everything in your site you want to include for your visitors to see.

You can design your lead capture page yourself without paying someone to do it for you too.  It may take some time before you get something you like but you can look at other network marketers lead capture pages for inspiration or ideas which will save you a lot of money.

Now there is one little problem which can be solved quite easily.  With most free webhosting sites, you will end up with a lengthy URL which  might look like www.johndoe.freewebhostingsite.com for example.  Of course, you want one that is smaller, simpler, and easier to remember. 

The solution is buying a unique domain name at a webhost like godaddy.com which will only set you back about $10 a year.  Once you have your unique domain name you will be able to “point” or “redirect” from your control panel that unique domain name to the longer, lengthier URL at your free webhosting site.  So  www.johndoe.freehostingsite.com now becomes www.johndoe.com for example.

In conclusion, having your own unique, fully customizable lead capture page which you can edit and personalize will set you apart from the crowd.  You will look different from what everyone else is doing and you will be more attractive to your visitors.  I think once you have your own lead capture page you will see your results change dramatically.

            When thinking about creating an online income for yourself through affiliate marketing, you’ll hear these words coming from the so-called internet experts like a broken record “you must have a landing page”.  Well, the experts are WRONG, they don’t work.

Because you aren’t an expert in sales, or are you?  On the other hand, if you were, you probably wouldn’t be designing landing pages, you’d be creating sales pages and making thousands of dollars per sales page you create.  Landing pages that aren’t near perfect are going to hurt your chances because your potential buyers could be bored with your page, they could think it looks sloppy and not trust it, or they could just be tired of reading information from a nobody.  What if those potential buyers were instead directed straight to the sales page… the page created by experts to make a sale. 

             

            The point is, if you are creating a decent amount of traffic to an average landing page, you are losing commissions.  Send these buyers straight to the sales page and let the experts do what they are paid to do… create hungry buyers and high sales conversions.  They have tested and tested these pages to make sure they are converting at the best possible ratio.  Do you have enough time to test your landing pages extensively and revise them up to 10 times to make conversions are the best? Probably not.  Save your time and your commissions and let the sales page do what it does best, SELL.

            I recently had an Opt-in Email company (Email Marketing Innovation. com) send out an html email promo for my company to 350000 people. It was supposed to be targeted and to the US only. I only paid $49 for it so I figured what the heck. I have seen my visits skyrocket but no sales. I have a tracker on my site and it tells me where the visitor came from and what pages he clicked on. So far, it seems like every single visitor that the company has sent my way only lands on the index page of my site and goes nowhere from there. Also, I have noticed that they have sent me an large number of visitors from around the world. Are these companies for real, or are they just able to drive fake traffic to my site???             10. Some critical elements to test include: headline, sub-head, body copy, graphics, offer, guarantee, order forms, etc.

            Landing Pages – Getting To The Point

            The key to all effective landing pages is to make the intended points quickly, clearly, and convincingly. After presenting an attention grabbing headline your landing page must now transition into the message it intends to communicate.

            Now remember a landing page should be brief and to the point. Upon reading the headline the website visitor will be presented your opening paragraph.

            You’ll want to:

            a) Continue the thought of the headline.

            b) Clearly and emphatically state the problem. 

            c) Transition into the solution found listed below in the bullet points.

            The use of bullets helps the reader isolate and identify the points you are making. Whether you use bullets, numbers, or letters the format is the same. This will help to insure your message is received by the reader in a organized fashion with minimal distractions.

            Let’s have a look at just what type of information your bullet points should contain, what is the intended message, as the website visitor reads them.

            • You are offering a free giveaway to entice the visitor to subscribe to your list. Your bullets should focus on that. Let your sales page sell your product, your Squeeze Page needs to emphasize primarily on the free giveaway.

            • Be clear on what it is you’re offering as the promotional giveaway. List its benefits to the reader individually to allow each benefit to ’sink in’ as they’re reviewed.

            • When possible number your benefits. This makes it more tangible for the reader and serves to ‘magnify’ the overall effects of the advantages your promotional giveaway offers them.

            • When your reader is unlikely to know something don’t be afraid to use the word ’secret’ in your description. This raises the level of ‘desire’ within the readers mind due to the sense of ‘exclusivity’ associated with the word.

            • Don’t misrepresent anything. Over the top claims (hype) that you’re unable to deliver will quickly build you a bad reputation. Even though you’re motivated to get a reader to subscribe to your list a tarnished reputation is just not worth it.

            Landing pages are intended to be brief and to the point. Making the most of the few words you use on this page is important. Emphasizing the benefits a visitor will receive from the free giveaway you’re offering in a clear and concise manner is your main goal.

            When I google something, the only results that come up are spam websites. Help!?


            Recently, when I google something it only leads to spam websites. The blue link you click on says the right thing, but the green site address says it is a spam website. For example, I googled “capital of Alaska” and got this:

            Note that the top is legitimate – Wikipedia, but the website that it leads to (which is the green site address) is a spam site. How do I fix this and what is wrong?
