10 Best Strategies To Massively Increase Your Visibility Online

Copyright (c) 2009 OnlineBizU.com

Increasing online visibility is the goal of most online business owners. After all, without visibility, you have no traffic and thus no business. However, when you start to research how to increase your online visibility, you discover so many options, yet have so little time for research and implementation. Where does an online entrepreneur turn first to get the visibility (and traffic) you seek to help you promote your online venture?

New tricks and gimmicks come out every day, but unfortunately, most of them are like so many recording artists and become one-hit wonders. In my business, I’ve discovered that there are a handful that are able to stand the test of time. Some have been around for as long as websites have been around, while others are newer kids on the block. Here are my 10 most effective strategies to massively increase your visibility online:

1. Press releases. Press releases are a well-known marketing strategy that has worked for years with print and broadcast media. In recent years they have found new life as an online visibility tool. Just like in the old days, your release should carry some newsworthy angle that has been optimized with a select few keywords by which you want your business to be found. Don’t waste your time submitting your release to the free press release sites — the release simply sits on the site and goes no where else. Instead, invest in a fee-based service (I prefer PRWeb.com), which will ensure your release gets the recognition it deserves.

2. Social Networking. A “johnny come lately” to the online visibility scene, social networking now ranks near the top in terms of attracting much visibility to your business for a very low cost. If you don’t yet have accounts on the two most popular social networking platforms, Facebook and Twitter, today is the day to hop on board and begin to network. Choose 1-2 social networking platforms where your target market hangs out, and then begin to work it by making connections, joining groups or networks, sharing resources, and asking questions. Dedicate 15-30 minutes each day to your effort to begin to see results.

3. Article Marketing. Writing and submitting articles to major article directories has definitely stood the test of time for online visibility. Article marketing will drive traffic to your site, establish you as an expert in your target market’s eyes, and give you valuable content to repurpose into information products. For maximum effectiveness, your article needs to contain a strong resource box (author’s bio) that drives traffic back to your site, needs to contain useful content that solves a problem of your target market, and is written in a tips-based fashion, like this one, as they are the easiest for a website visitor to read and digest.

4. Blogging. Business blogs (a web log or journal), have gained popularity over the last few years as an online visibility tool. Blogs use RSS feed technology to immediately get new posts and updates out to your blog subscribers through a feed reader. Unlike ezines or traditional websites, search engines index blog posts almost immediately, which help you generate traffic to your website. To use effectively as an online visibility tool, you need to post 2-3 times per week to keep your readers interested and coming back.

5. Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Optimizing your site or your blog for organic (naturally-occurring) searches has been around from the beginning of Internet marketing. Use a keyword research tool and create a list of keywords applicable to your business. Don’t forget to add things like “how to”, “tips”, or short descriptions of your target market’s problems to your research. Then, take a look at your page titles, page descriptions, page headlines, and formatted text on a page (bolding, italicizing, underlining) and include your keywords in those areas, as well as sprinkling 1-2 keywords throughout the content of your page. Make the SEO appear to be natural, not forced, and the search engines as well as your visitors will love you.

6. Email Newsletter (Ezine). Regular publication of an email newsletter (weekly is most effective) will enable your prospects to get to know, like and trust you and have you be top of mind when they are ready to solve the pressing problems that fall within your line of expertise. If you make opting into your ezine list the primary call to action on your website, you continually build your list with prospective customers. Best of all, if they like what you write, they are more likely to pass along the issue to their contacts, thus increasing your visibility yet again.

7. Signature Teleseminar/Speech. Have you created your signature speech or teleseminar that you can present whenever you’re asked to speak to any type of group (face-to-face or virtual)? If not, design a signature speech or teleseminar that demonstrates your knowledge and expertise without giving away the store (focus on the what and the why but not the how) that compels your listeners to visit your website or request your client attraction device and get on your list.

Then, begin to research groups that contain your target market both in your geographic area and online. Once you’ve landed a speaking gig, strategize your best call to action for the group — do you want participants to sign up for your email list, purchase a product, or book a consultation? Add that call to action to your presentation.

8. Videos. With the popularity of broadband Internet connections, it’s much easier for almost anyone to view online video these days. And, with high-quality yet low-cost web cams, video cameras, and screen capture software readily available, anyone can make a video today. You might record a live Q&A session on UStream.com and post it on your site. Or, perhaps you want to record a “how to” tutorial using screenshots from your computer and upload that to your YouTube.com channel. Remember to include your call to action in your video so that you drive traffic back to your site. Just think — your video may cause you to become the next YouTube star!

9. Expert question sites. Most people conduct online searches to find free information that answers their questions. Many online entrepreneurs are registering as experts on an expert or answers site, like Yahoo Answers or AllExperts.com, in an effort to get visibility online. To be an effective expert on these sites, you need to seek out questions that you can knowledgeably answer as an expert. Your answer needs to be very detailed and as specific as possible. The more thorough your answer, the better chance you’ll have of getting chosen as the “favorite” answer, which is the one rated highest on the site and in the search engines.

10. Viral marketing. Viral marketing involves creating a marketing piece (ebook, video, software) that gets passed along free of charge from person to person. Publicity Hound Joan Stewart does this quite effectively each year when she compiles the best tips she’s written about in the previous year in a “best of” ebook compilation that she gives away free of charge on her site. She also encourages her list and website visitors to “regift” it.

You’ve got two options when you try to get online visibility: the “steady and effective over time” method or the “quick and short and probably get banned” method. I prefer to use methods that have stood the test of time and won’t result in my site being removed from the search engines. Use one or more of these time-honored strategies to get you the visibility you deserve online.

10 Simple Ways to Make Life Easier for Your Website’s Users

Web designers and developers are continually gaining new tools to facilitate effective website creation. Compatibility, usability, interaction, visual appeal, and support for a website’s users are all important aspects for a designer or developer to consider when looking to present the most interesting and user-friendly site possible. By implementing the simple suggestions below, you can dramatically improve your users’ experience and the overall performance of your site.

1. Optimize the search function on your website or blog to make it easy for your users to find the information or media that they are looking for. Tag everything from articles to pictures and videos so that all of the content on your website is searchable. You want your users to spend a lot of time on your website, but you don’t want that time to be spent digging around for information that should be readily available.

2. Include links to all of your social network profiles on your homepage. Visitors who are genuinely interested in you or your business should be able to easily connect with you via social networks like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. By including these links, your users can get more involved in learning about your company and will get the feeling that there are real, compassionate people behind your website.

3. Create Landing Pages that direct users to the content that is most relevant to them. Landing pages are convenient for your users because they can cut down on the time it takes for them to navigate through your website. Landing pages can dramatically improve conversions from website visitors to leads by providing users with a direct path to the page or form you are hoping they will use.

4. Optimize your website for the iPhone and other mobile devices by creating a version of your site that is readable and usable on the popular mobile browsers. Make sure that all text and media is formatted correctly for the smaller screen size and that your website’s style stays intact. Media Contour has an informative iPhone tutorial to get you started with making your website mobile-friendly.

5. Incorporate a text-to-speech application like Odiogo that allows your users to listen to an audio version of your website’s content. This is especially useful for users who are blind, illiterate, too busy to read, or simply lazy. Many people do not want to devote their time to reading a long blog article—by listening to it, they can browse through other sites or multi-task in other ways while they are enjoying your words of wisdom. Media Contour has implemented this application so that you can try it out for yourself—just click the “listen now” button above this or any other KaBlog! article.

6. Create text alternatives or captions to describe the content for all of your website’s media (images, music, video, etc.). This text alternative ensures that blind individuals can understand what a picture or photograph is portraying. Similarly, it also allows your hearing-impaired visitors to understand what is being played within an audio file.

7. Allow your users to navigate your site using keyboard shortcuts. Keyboard shortcuts can save time and prevent early onset of carpal tunnel syndrome. Many users prefer not to use a mouse and some are unable to do so. By installing keyboard shortcut compatibility, you will ensure that your website is usable for the widest range of visitors.

8. Provide your website’s users with helpful tools like an automatic spell checker, help or FAQ section, and bookmarking buttons. The Help and FAQ pages can save time for your users when they encounter a problem or an error on your site or when they have a specific question. The bookmarking buttons help users to easily remember and share your website within their network of friends, family, and professionals.

Tips specifically for e-commerce websites:

9. Provide an option for one-click checkout on every page so that users to do not have to spend time going back and forth between pages, potentially losing interest in purchasing your product or service as they waste more time navigating.

10. Include testimonials on your homepage, products page, or portfolio section that give your business a good reputation and help prospective customers gain trust and respect for your company’s products or services. You want to be able to choose which reviews your users see—without testimonials on your site, you will force your customers to look elsewhere for reviews of your business. These reviews, unlike the testimonials on your site, cannot be moderated by you.

While these suggestions are not appropriate for every website, they can be very valuable for a designer or developer looking to improve usability on multiple levels. By optimizing your site for many diverse types of users with their own preferences, tendencies, and handicaps, you can increase traffic to your site and raise the standards by which designers and developers create their own works. The Internet is for all to enjoy—you should make your visitors’ experience as pleasant and pain-free as possible.

Squeeze Page Vs Landing Page

Squeeze Page vs. Landing Page – Their Roles and Differences

Many who are marketing on the internet still confuse the roles of a squeeze page vs. the landing page. In some circles they are regarded as one in the same but the fact is they serve two completely different roles. Both are used to attract customers online but that is where the similarities end. Whereas one functions as a tool to build a list the other is used to pre-sell a product. In either case they both play an important role for online entrepreneurs so let’s discussed their primary differences and applications now.

Landing Page

Landing Pages also referred to as gateway pages are used extensively in the field of affiliate marketing. Their primary role is to pre-sell the site visitor on the product they will be shown on the next page.

These pages are generally not as ‘focused’ as Squeeze Pages. Landing pages in fact commonly attempt to ‘touch’ upon various emotions of the reader to more fully engage them in the content.

These type pages also referred to as ‘gateway’ pages are mostly used to prepare the visitor for the more hard selling approach to be experienced on the next page. Landing pages as a rule do not try to collect the contact information of the page visitor.

Squeeze Page

Squeeze pages have one objective and that is it. The focus is to ‘merely’ collect customer contact information for future marketing efforts. The approach is direct and much more ‘focused’ as opposed to the landing page.

The content of these pages is generally found to be very brief in an attempt to not confuse or distract the visitor from the sole intention of the page. In fact it is unusual to even find many if any graphics on squeeze pages due to their ability to create distractions for the visitor.

The main message of these pages is made very clearly and that is to instruct the visitor to leave their contact information and why they should do so.

The offer of a free gift in exchange for customer contact information is both common and expected on these type pages.

As you have hopefully come to understand the squeeze page differs significantly from landing pages insofar as the roles they play online. Online entrepreneurs have a need to attract customers when marketing on the internet and both these pages do just that but their similarities stop right there. Squeeze pages are used to build a list whereas landing pages serve more as an introduction to a product that has yet to be shown to the site visitor. In either case they both play an important role for anyone looking to grow their customer base or income online!

In an effort to keep the game more exciting during the middle overs, the 15 over block with fielding restrictions at the beginning of the innings is reduced to 10, and thereafter, the captain of the fielding side has to decide when to bring his fielders in again for two further blocks of 5 overs, at any time he likes. If this requirement is not met, the incoming batsman will be declared ‘timed out’. The fielding side has to appeal for the wicket to be awarded. There is no known incidence of this in an international match. There are three cases, however, in first class cricket. H Yadav — Tripura vs Orissa at Cuttack in 1997; Vasbert Drakes — Border vs Free State at East London in 2002 and A J Harris — Nottinghamshire vs Durham UCCE at Nottingham in 2003.

Created by Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969), it’s based on bujutsu with an emphasis on self-defence and spiritual growth. Garry Kasparov obtained 2851, the highest score ever. Only four players — Kasparov, Kramnik, Topalov and Anand have obtained a score greater than or equal to 2800, which is called the magic barrier. The feed from the stump microphone is fed directly into the Snickometer which then represents the sound as a visual graphic. As discussed briefly above examples include providing the prospect a bonus of some sort if the opt-in, participating in as survey or vote, becoming a member of your site, downloading a free ebook or some software or making a product free not including shipping.

Looking for free software to capture email addresses on website?

Aloha!

I have a yahoo e-commerce website- and would like to find a free program that allows me to offer an opt in newsletter on my website.

I’d prefer a popup on my landing page.

Anyone know of such a program?

I’m using a pc running XP, Yahoo sitebuilder, and yahoo hosting.

Thanks! Anthony

a little piece of advice, 90% of web surfers (your target customers) are annoyed by pop ups and will immediately leave the site without hanging around. it’s kind of like going to look at new cars and the salesman just won’t leave you alone so you can browse. I am an experienced website designer.

The Affiliate Code is Not The Secret Affiliate Code

The Affiliate Code is a brand new product that is being released on November 17. It is not The Secret Affiliate Code which originally came out in 2008.  Michael Jones is the creator of The Affiliate Code.  He also launched the very successful Clickbank Code earlier this year which broke clickbank records for sales.  The Affiliate Code is expected to be just as successful.

The Clickbank Code focused on the same subject as The Affiliate Code, being an affiliate and selling other people’s products.  However, The Clickbank Code focused on adwords and buying traffic where The Affiliate Code focuses on free traffic.  Michael says he wanted to help those people who don’t have a lot of cash with these super simple totally free techniques in The Affiliate Code that can have you making money on the first day.  Based on the excellent techniques from his earlier product and the success seen with it, I believe him.

Besides the basics of niche and keyword research, copywriting and tracking your work, here are some highlights of what you will get within The Affiliate Code 9 different modules:

  • How to get ranked in hours not days
  • Build an affiliate business that runs on autopilot
  • Easy ways to create Landing Pages That Convert
  • Methods to get multiple listings on the front page of Google
  • Simple techniques to build a targeted list
  • How to pick the right niche and sell the right product to make money
  • How to tell a buyer from a browser

As you can see from everything above, The Affiliate Code is great for beginner affiliate marketers, but it also has something for those affiliate marketers that already make an income online.  It provides you with a technique to double your business and take it to the next level.  Now, no matter how much income you make online now, there is always room for making more money.

The Affiliate Code is a video course where you can watch over Michael’s shoulder and see step by step how he does each task, from finding a niche to building a Landing Page.  There is 8 1/2 hours of video training.  The videos show you how to setup your product promotion and the secrets to getting a lot of traffic to it that converts.

Michael says the Affiliate Code is a turn key system that you can be setup and forgotten.  Well, one way this is accomplished is by building a list for your selected niche that you can market to in the future.  This is where the totally free part of the system changes.  Although the techniques are totally free in The Affiliate Code, building a list may cost you a minimal amount.  You will need an autoresponder to build your list that will cost about $10 a month.  With The Affiliate Code, you could easily be making enough money to pay for this small cost.

The Affiliate Code comes with an unbelievable 56 day no questions asked money back guarantee.  If The Affiliate Code is as good as Michael’s earlier products, you don’t want to miss these techniques.

How to Create a Landing Page For Ppc Marketing

If you are an online marketer you probably recognize the importance of having a landing page aka a lead Capture Page. These pages are what appears when a prospective customer clicks on an ad or a search engine result link. This page will normally show subject matter that is a logical annex of the ad or link, and that is optimized to possess specific keywords or phrases for indexing by search engines such as Google and Yahoo. In pay per click (PPC) promotions, the landing page will also be tailored to evaluate the effectuality of various advertisements. By supplying a parameter to the linking URL, marketers can evaluate ad effectiveness based on comparative click-through values.

There are 2 different variants of landing type pages, they include reference and transactional. A reference landing page will introduce selective information that is relevant to the visitor, these will usually show content such as text, pictures, links or other elements such as videos. A transactional landing page is formulated to persuade the visitor to complete a transaction such as filling out a form with the main goal being; immediate gross sales.

One of the major mistakes new affiliates or inexperienced affiliates make is buying junk traffic upon the truck loads and expecting it to turn over. Seriously, don’t even waste your hard earned money with this crap. Do it the right way the first time and stick with it. Junk traffic is called junk for a reason; ITS JUNK!

Now in a lot of instances affiliates end up getting low conversions on their landing pages simply because they don’t know how to set something like this up or you might do the same page that every single other marketer has. More often than not this is a turn off for potential customers. They want to see your site as being uniquely different. With a landing page creator you wouldn’t have to worry about any of these problems because the creator itself can do amazing things with your site, and take the guesswork out of it for you. Some of the benefits of these creators include options such as; building a sales page, promoting or selling any product, adding valuable content, reviews, articles, link and much more. Plus you can do other cool things to “reel” in potential sales such as adding videos, which most definitely allows your site to be unique in both content and quality. These are the types of programs you really wouldn’t mind spending money on because they could potentially make you enough money back threefold!

You could profit with things such as Click bank, Commission Junction, Amazon or any other affiliate program for that matter. Is the “home made” landing page you made yourself been able to offer any of this stuff? Doubtful! Get every and any sale you want! Your website will be the only one offering incentives, articles, links or whatever content you want! The sky is the limit! Remember to make things as unique as possible. Of course in some situations this is impossible and you might not have exact control over your landing page, but if you have control, change it. Make it interesting. Make it yours!

Business Killers – Why Using A Squeeze Page Generator Can Kill Your Business

A squeeze page is one of the most widely used tools by Internet marketers to generate sales. The conversion rates of a well crafted page are very high. Good Squeeze Pages optimized for search engines have been shown to outdo websites with similar offerings. There are basically three things you can do to get a page:

-Use templates/squeeze page generator
-Do it yourself
-Hire a designer

You can get templates from several sites on the Internet. These templates require you to put your content in and host it. Sometimes you might have to make some change. Though a template is very easy to use, it will not give you the desired results. This is because templates are over used. And the design is not exclusive and lacks the desired quality. For your visitor to get enticed, your page should be cut apart from the rest. To do this, you have to make your own page. This would be your best shot. But making a page is time consuming and if you haven’t made any before, then it might not come out the way you want.

Outsourcing- Your savior…

In order to have a customized design in less time, you should outsource your work to a designer. Outsourcing saves a lot of time and today it works much cheaper than doing it yourself. If you want to put a video on the page, then it is more compelling that you hire designer. Your video makes an instant impact on the visitor. I am certain you would want to make a good first impression.

Also shooting your own video and editing will leave you with no time at all for you work which is marketing. It would also be very expensive if you don’t have the equipment. You can get your page and video for much less than what you would spend doing it yourself. Apart from making a page, your designer will also put content that sells. Since most designers have an in depth knowledge of visual appeal and advertising, you can be certain that your page will deliver what is expected of it.

What Goes Into Making A Killer Squeeze Page? – The Behind Scenes Work Of Expert Designers

Making squeeze pages is an art. And just like every other art that can be performed only by an artist, there are artists for making squeeze pages as well. There are many aspects to it that need to be taken care of keeping the visitor in view.

1) When making the page, a designer always puts two questions to himself. These are –
What will the visitor like? This is not an easy question to answer. His visual judgment aided by experience filters through several options until he gets to the right one for your market and the product.

2) The second question he asks is – what you, the marketer needs? When you work with a designer, you would be asked to state your requirements. There is a lot of flexibility as when doing so. You can let the designer know of your idea for the copy as well apart from just the design of the page. Since designers are also equally adept at SEO, you never know how good your copy can be made.

That apart, getting a page designed will make you come out with something new. Since the competition is intense, and everybody is trying to do well, a visitor is looking for anything and everything different.

If you show a distinguishing character on your page, you have held his gaze. Now if your headline is good, he will go on to the text and you can be reasonably certain that he will sign up.

While text is important for conveying a message, it is not as effective as a video. Comprehending this is no rocket science. You would rather watch a movie than read a book. The same principle applies for squeeze pages too. A video presentation will hold a visitor and give you a chance to talk to him.

As several of the highest converters have pointed out, video is the way to go. Text is now being associated with the small guys and having text alone could seriously undermine your chances.

Good Landing Page Design Tips

GOOD LANDING PAGE DESIGN TIPS

What is a landing page?

It’s the page your website visitor arrived at after clicking a
link. The link could be on any page on your website or pay per
click advertising or banner ads or keyword search.

The goal of landing page is to cause your visitors to take
definite action. You don’t want your visitors to leave until you
get them to do what you want them to do. To click on the buy
button, to sign up for an affiliate program, to download a free
ebook or software, to sign up for a course, or to subscribe to
your free newsletter.

The landing page is a direct marketing copy. Your visitors
landed here through a link on your webpage, an ad, a keyword
search, pay per click advertising, banner ads, and now you want
to convert them.

Here are some tips to design a good landing page…

1.Content Relevance

Your Landing Page Content must be relevant to what people were
looking for when they applied the click through. The closer the
match is the higher the chances of conversion.

2.Be Concise

Net writing is different than offline writing. Generally, when
people surf the Internet they give short attention span to what
they are reading. So be concise. When visitors arrive at your
landing page they are already predisposed to buy, or they want
to get more information of your product or service. By all means
give them information but be concise. Don’t use more than three
sentences to communicate a point. Think through and concise what
you want to say. Use bulleted list to communicate the benefits
of your product or service.

3.Get straight to the point

The landing page is a highly customized marketing copy for your
product or service or affiliate product or service. Don’t
distract your visitors with advertisements, links to other web
pages. Don’t let your visitors wade through a whole bunch of
hosh posh before they get to want they want.

4.Focus

Dedicate one landing page to only one product or service. Don’t
try to promote multiple products (unless they are of the same
product group)or services on one page. Create separate landing
pages and campaigns if you have multiple products or services to
promote. Focus on one product or one product group on each
landing page.

5.Be Factual

Use facts and figures instead of generalities.

General: Prices Reduced

Factual: Prices Reduced by 20 percent

6.Clear Call to Action

Tell your visitors what you want them to do. Buy now, click here
to download, fill in name and email address to subscribe or
whatever. Keep all call to action text in bold.

7.Readable Text

Sure, there’s nothing much to look at a page with white
background and black fonts. But it’s definitely easier to read
the text than a red background with black fonts. Remember, it’s
the words that sell. Your website visitors must be able to read
your text with ease.

8.Navigation Links

Not at all, if you could help it. The only link you want your
website visitors to click on your landing page is the call to
action link.

9.Graphics and Images

Keep visual effects to a minimum unless you are running an
online audio or video business, real estate business, or selling
holiday destinations. Keep in mind that for direct marketing
it’s the words that sell. Graphics and images serve only to
enhance your text communication, not cloud it.

10.Grammatical and Spelling Errors

Check through your text and correct all grammatical and spelling
errors. Otherwise it gives your website visitors a negative
impression of you and the company you represent. Once visitors
have a negative impression, it becomes difficult to convince
them of the product or service that you are promoting. First
impression counts a lot.

11.Make it personal

Make it personal to connect with your visitors. Use a lot of You
and Your in your text.

12.Make your text clear and simple to understand

Avoid colloquialism or jargons. Use terms and phrases that
people readily understood. Use short sentences, and phrase them
in the active voice.

A good landing page will always sport good conversion rate as
compared to a poor one. Take the time to think and rethink, work
and rework your Landing Pages. Don’t make the mistake of just
optimizing for the search engines. You need to optimize your
landing pages for humans too. Ultimately, it is humans that give
you the sales.

Tips on Creating a Landing Page

If you use a Landing Page Templates or basic format, it truly speeds up the process of making them. Landing-pages are a fast and simple method of informing your potential customers and helping them along in the middle to purchasing. It is simply a single page advert with option to buy or links to the product selling page you are selling.

I’ve written before about the basic layout of landing page, using your adaptation of this method will enable you to focus on your talent. Often creative people need this framework, it’s a bit like writing, I find if I stop to spell check all the time it becomes tough work and doesn’t flow. The template makes sure you have all the important parts to make it easy for them to buy what you are selling, similar to a checklist.

The details are explained more in my other article on here or through my link, but fundamentally the checklist is :

1/ title, including keywords.
2/ powerful engaging first paragraph.
3/ benefits to customers
4/ plenty of footage.
5/ masses of Links let them buy.

If you buy a landing page templates, possibilities are that you get a page which has heaps of instructions to’place your title here’,'put your bullet points here’ and so on .

Sometimes that is’s just about as bad as having to come up with your own landing page templates from scratch! Just what do you put in those boxes?

The title is your principal opportunity to grab your reader’s attention. If you don’t have a punchy headline, possibilities are your reader will click the back button and be gone forever.

news sell.

Look at any newspaper. Or better still, countrywide Enquirer.

What draws your attention?

It’s generally the headlines. They offer mystery and intrigue. Providing they are well written, they make you would like to read further, even if you are not completely interested by the subject.

if you are stuck for words for your landing page headline, go for some of the proven phrases. ‘7 secrets You Never Knew About …’, that kind of thing. There are title generator programs and books available which will give you lots more ideas.

After your headline, you want some bullet points.

* List out the main benefits your clients will get from your products
* Give them a reason why your service or product is much better than anyone else’s
* Offer them something free in exchange for letting you have their e-mail

eventually, place your email sign up form somewhere apparent. Ideally keep it’above the fold’ so your user doesn’t have to scroll down the net page to find it. That is’s why on a lot of landing page templates you see will have a title at the top, a listing of bullet points on the left and a signup box on the right. This keeps them nice and compact and increases the likelihood of customers enrolling.

Landing Page Wordpress

How to Create an Effective Landing Page

Wordpress has become almost a standard for affiliate marketers trying to use their blogs to promote specific products or building their lists. However, a blog is continually changing and adapting which can seem to make it difficult to have static Landing Pages for their wordpress blog.

There are several different reasons that you may want a landing page and your reason determines what how you want your landing pages to be presented. Do you want to promote your list, a product, or just push more people into the blog itself? Let’s take a quick second to talk about list building or product sales on your landing page before we get into using it to market your blog.

The reason I want to talk about list building and product promotion first is that it can be a painstaking effort if done on your own. You essentially have two options. The first is to purchase a theme or product that helps create these pages specifically for wordpress. Most range from $20-$100 depending on what you are looking for. The second option is to simply do some coding and programming yourself. While this may seem daunting at first, it is very possible. However, for times sake, I am not going into specifics here. The overall goal of your coding changes is to set a static landing page using wordpress and delete certain potential distractions such as the sidebar, and additional advertisements, while still having enough related content available as to not make your visitors feel trapped. This additional content will also go a long way in making sure that your page is ranked well by search engines.

Now lets focus on creating a landing page that will pull your visitors farther into your blog. On this page, you want to introduce new readers to your blog. This is sort of like the first day of high school for your visitors. They are probably a little unsure of what to expect, as well as unclear about what you have to offer. Your landing page needs to essentially overwhelm the visitor with useful posts and information without intimidating them. One way to do this is to have the few paragraphs of your top 10 or 20 posts. You also want to make them aware of all of your categories and rss feed so that they know what your blog is all about. You should not make the landing page look much different than the blog itself so that when they do dive further into your blog, the transition seems smooth. Think of your landing page as your blogs highlight reel. It showcases your talents and gives your visitors a reason to continue reading and exploring your blog.

My goal has always been to use a wordpress landing page to get people farther into my blog. The reason is simple. Once they are farther into your blog, you can sell them on products and get them to join your list. But keeping someone continually reading your blog is one of the most difficult things there is to do. Plus, if they are loyal readers, they end up buying a multitude of products from you. However, if you landing page is aimed at a one time sale, you will only profit from them once. Plus, if they are not happy with the product they may never come back. On the other hand, if they are already loyal readers and you have an established relationship with them, they may leave some scathing comments about the product, but they will still come back to read more.

seo advertising help please?

im about ready to start a wordpress blog affiliate marketing business and i was wondering if it is possible for me to make it to the front page of google for myself. ive done a lot of research lately on SEO and i was also wondering (because 2 sites told me different things) does SEO rank individual webpages or your entire website. for instance will just one of my pages (a landing page) be checked by google for rank in search engines or will it look at my entire website to determine one pages rank?

Pages are ranked individually. That is why you have to use your keywords in your page titles. And that includes your home page, unless you want to rank for “home”.

Don’t forget to use your main keyword in your website title and URL. Basic on-page SEO is enough. What matters most is your backlink build up. Those backlinks should come from relevant sites preferably with different domain names and IPs. These should be hyperlinks with your keywords as anchor.

Backlinks from high PR social bookmarking sites and other social media can help.

Good luck!
