Landing Page Design: How To Utilize Optimization

Having a Landing Page design that converts well will help you gain those leads to maximize profits from marketing efforts.

What is the process in a Landing Page? How can you make it effective enough to generate leads? The answers are down below, just keep reading.

Effective Landing Pages need to have information that not only interests readers, but also has to be compelling enough that they want to enter in their email address to get more information from you. What happens is that value is going both ways. Remember that value is a 2 way exchange and that it can’t only go one way. Keep on the lookout of this theory as I’ll be speaking of it much in this edition’s How To Landing Page.

The headline must be centered so that the reader can fixate on it at first glance. The sub-heading underneath the headline needs to further support the claims made in the heading. Keep in mind to have the subheading at a slightly smaller and different font size and color.

The Landing Page also needs to have keywords that have SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in mind.  The visitor needs to find your Landing Page some way and the best way to get traffic is free traffic.  A great way to get more traffic is to have visitors land on your Landing Page after running a search.  Some internet marketers even use videos and audio in their Landing Pages to further enhance the page and get the readers interest going.

Bear in mind that the end goal is to get the email address of someone who is interested. By obtaining people’s email addresses, an agency is able to use follow-up marketing and get a more favorable response rate. Having a person enter in their email address is no small feat. It means that you can market to them later.

Gurus don’t always know what’s good or bad. They may not see something that your Landing Page can do. Test things to see what works well for your niche.

Get enough unique visitors to your Landing Page and not just page views. Unique visitors count the actual number of people using different IP addresses to see how many people visited your Landing Page.

Tuning Up your Landing Page

What does one test in the landing page? There are the hotspots that you might want to give utmost attention to. If you are able to inspect these elements of your landing page, you will be ensured that your landing page will always be in top condition.

Logo and Banner

Basically, these are the visible stuff above. Check for attractiveness, for visual quality. And check if the logo and banner really makes a lasting impression to your readers. This is the first things your customers will see in your page so you must take extra caution in designing it.

Headline Copy

You want to test the headline copy. Is it really riveting or compelling enough? Note the usage of colors in your headline copy. Red is one of the more impressive colors that generate more readers. These are things that are subtle but actually affect the views that your headline copy can generate.

Greeting copy

There are three basic parts of the greeting copy. First is the lead where Dear internet marketer phrases can be found. Next is the subhead. And finally, you have the first paragraph to jumpstart interaction with your customers.

Body Copy

The body copy is very important. You can test the body for inconsistencies, grammar, coherence, harmony of your topics and the convincing quality of your pitches. It would be best if you have an outsider evaluate your body copy for you so that they will not be inclined for bias.

Form position

The main question to this is: Where should I have the form? Should it even be in the landing page? Check if your form is positioned accordingly and make sure it is visible and unobtrusive.

Image

Testing the effect of images is very important when you are trying to elicit positive customer response. Test the images you are to use in your landing pages. The more positive the viewer’s response, the more you should use the image. Having a consensus of generated customer responses is a good way to test images.

Your USP

Is your unique selling proposition as unique as you would expect? You really need to make sure that your USP is able to make an impact, and you must be able to combine the element that will make your USP work for you and your internet marketing business.

Squeeze Page Layout, in General

You must really check out and secure a way to see things in the perspective of your prospect. Will he or she click at the squeeze page and subscribe when he or she sees it or not? These are very important factors that you must consider if you really want people to opt-in to your list.

Your landing page must constantly be fine tuned to meet the needs of your prospects. The best landing pages are not created overnight, but are produced by a long time of persistent testing of elements that will make it work and thrive in the internet marketing industry.

What are the best (and worst) art portfolios you’ve seen? What makes them great or trash worthy?

I’m in the process of revamping my art portfolio and I’m trying to figure out exactly what to do. Should I bound it, keep it in clear sleeves, add text descriptions, design a background template for each page?

I’ve seen very few art portfolios and need some direction in making my own. I want to know what others have done to land their design job or what hiring professionals find interesting in a portfolio to bring back that interviewee.

I’m currently a junior designer and to get the job I used a black leather, zip binder with clear sleeves inside to hold my artwork. The artwork was printed on regular 8 1/2″ by 11″ white paper. So a lot of white space was seen. At the time, I liked my portfolio but now looking at it, I find it very weak presentation wise. I doubt it will help me get to that next level if I keep it the way it is. I want to make it stand out but in all the RIGHT ways.

Thanks for Answering!

depends on the agency and their creative directors idea of what is cool. I have seen some real garbage that has been real liked by agencies that gear toward that style. It really depends on personal opinion. So if one doesn’t like your work, dont be discouraged, it’s just personal taste & style.
