An Effective Landing Page That Converts Surfers – Who Else Wants It?
It was an easy Sunday afternoon and I felt like I should read something to do with effective landing page. Actually I was first scanning through pages when I suddenly came across that title. After reading the article fully and understanding it, I concluded that any page of your website can be it.
So, what is a landing page also called a lead capturing page? It’s where your surfers make a last stop. It is a page that generates income for you, gets your surfers subscribe something and finally it is the one where you do marketing for your services or products. This is where you convert your potential surfers to buyers.
Usually surfers are directed from external sources like from other websites or PPC [Pay Per Click] Ad to your effective landing page. The main goal of an effective landing page is to make surfers to buy a particular product or service you are recommending on your website or take some form of action.
Before writing your lead capturing pages, you should have a clear goal as to what you want your surfers to do once they have clicked it.When a surfer makes the desired action you are anticipating on your lead capturing page, then that is termed as a conversion.
There are three types of lead capturing pages
The first type is the Reference Landing Page that delivers information that is relevant to surfers. It mainly gets traffic from Google Adwords.
The second type is Transactional landing Page which mainly seeks to persuade surfers to fill out a form. The objective of this form is to capture the information contacts of the surfers such as e-mail addresses, phone numbers and addresses. These contacts later on will be used to be in touch with surfers and eventually being in touch with them leads to sales.
Usually this page will withhold some content which prompts the surfers to fill a form in order to get it. It applies the principle of important but incomplete.
The third and last type is the Squeeze landing Page which is mostly used in direct marketing. It mainly targets and focuses on capturing information from the surfer. It has a very high conversion rate.
If you want your lead capturing pages to get high conversion rates, then aim at making them to be clear, easy to read and without distractions. If it distracts surfers, then it denies you the conversion rate. Make sure your effective Landing Pages don’t trouble your surfers when loading. They should load quickly to avoid wasting surfer’s time since internet is a fast world.
Use the same font colors and visual elements for your advertisement on your effective landing page. This assures your surfer that in deed she is on the correct lead capturing page that she had clicked. Underline links of your effective landing pages. Make your surfers understand what you are intending to tell them about that lead capturing page without confusing them.
If you find that the product logos and graphic images don’t direct your surfer to the desired action you are anticipating, the best decision is to remove them. Avoid the number of clicks that a surfer has to make in order to be directed to your effective landing page. A single click on her mouse is convenient. The click should open a new window so that your site remains underneath.
Have a free gift on your lead capturing pages like an E-book that requires surfers contacts such as an E-mail address in order to down load it. You will use these contacts later on to follow them.Even although your surfer didn’t make your anticipated action on the first time she clicked your website, she will eventually make it through your several follow ups.
My question now is: how do you measure a lead capturing page efficiency? That is simple. All you need to do is to measure its conversion rate [ The percentage surfers who make your anticipated action]. If you will not measure it, then you will not really manage it. So make the tendency of measuring it.

Why Websites Are Better Than Landing Pages
Recently there was an e-book claiming that websites are a less effective means of promoting a real estate business than are landing pages (also known as Squeeze Pages). As anyone who knows their SEO methodologies can tell you, it ain’t necessarily so.
There are a number of reasons why an actual website is a more effective tool to gather leads and generate business if real estate is your field. While a landing page can be properly optimized for the search engines, the long and short of it is that doing so means one thing – more work for the webmaster.
There are a number of reasons why real estate investors should choose to maintain a traditional web page rather than building a series of landing pages. For starters, real estate is a business where your image matters. Having a professional appearance is incredibly important; landing pages are something which are largely the province of fly-by-night internet marketers (though not always, we’re not trying to give landing pages a bad name altogether here). You can think of it in this way: if you were looking to purchase a property, whether as an investment or as a new home, who would you rather do business with? The realtor with a polished, professional looking site, or one whose web presence is more akin to the virtual take on a used car lot?
In many cases, this appearance corresponds with the behavior of the realtor; basically, landing pages tend to look cheap. Hardly the impression you want to give a prospective buyer or seller, is it? Of course it isn’t, so let’s move on. One of the chief problems with using landing pages is that a single business will tend to maintain a great deal of these pages which are targeted towards slightly different keywords, especially when using PPC advertising to promote your business.
The proponents of landing pages often characterize this as a ‘money funneling system’, something which is not entirely accurate. A better analogy might be a sky full of very dim stars viewed from a brightly lit city center. Those stars aren’t all that visible now, are they? The point here is that landing pages are rarely terribly visible in terms of search results. Since the content of these multiple landing pages is generally very similar, one page often differing from another only in the main keyword used, search engines view them as duplicate content.
What does this mean? It means that search engines largely ignore these pages – so they have little if any traffic or lead generation potential beyond the relatively small number of people who pay attention to contextual advertising. Is this inherently problematic? Actually yes – all of the work which goes into building these landing pages which don’t tend to generate that much traffic, relatively speaking could have gone into promoting your main website and gaining natural traffic. This traffic of course increases your website’s search engine ranking which means even more traffic and a higher profile.
If real estate is a numbers game, it stands to reason that you’d want to actually work the numbers and maximize your traffic to a single source. Landing page proponents will tell you that a traditional website can’t target all of the various keywords that a landing page can. This, of course is nonsense. It’s every bit as easy (if not easier) to add a page to your own website which is optimized for the same keywords – and it actually builds the page ranking of your website, rather than detracting from this important task. I’ll leave you with one other advantage that a traditional website has over landing pages when it comes to search engine optimization and generating leads. Landing pages don’t tend to be re-index by search engines if indeed they are ever indexed in the first place!
A website, by contrast has one possible application which makes it superior to landing pages in every way – it’s easy to deploy a blog as part of your website. Why a blog? Because it’s an incredibly easy way to add new content to your site and keep search engines coming back. This can help build your page ranking and your traffic faster and more sustainably than any number of landing pages ever will.
In the time it takes to put together a single web page, you could add a page to your main site, put work towards other traffic driving strategies or get your site re-indexed by adding a new post to your blog; and you’d still have time to get yourself a cup of coffee, sit back for a moment and congratulate yourself on your business acumen while the people who favor landing pages are still uploading their page. It’s an easy call to make – websites win out over landing pages hands down.

How to get Justice of entry refusal upon arrival in Japan from Japan Immigration even with valid tourist visa?
I alongwith my fiancee and her son set off for 10 days Japan tour recently with valid visa, PP, hotel booking, JR pass, Toyota plant visit confirmation, Night bus booking for Nagoya to Tokyo, sufficient cash and confirmed return air tickets, despite we were issued exclusion order to leave Japan saying that you donot meet the conditions for landing provided for in Article 7, Paragraph 1, Item 2 of the Immigration-Control and Refugee-Recognition Act.
In fact, we were to reach Osaka from Tokyo on the same day by bullet train BUT, IO did not accept this as saying it is not possible to reach Osaka, cause too far from Tokyo ? For him it’s unbelievable and unprecedented. in this way, we are unreasonably subjected for application for landing.
According to page 177 of DATA SECTION of “Structure of Japanese Immigration Control Administration” Temporary Visa holders are not subjected for landing application. why did they took such an unjustified action. Pls help us for our rights.
You can complain to their embassy in your country. Beyond that you can do nothing. You have no “right” of entry into Japan or any other country.
